Nucleon TST evo Worldcup Downhill

NICOLAI的骄傲 采用G-BOXX1技术 rohloff内14速系统 单动点结构 TST EVO在08年没有多大改变 和07款基本一样。

The Nucleon TST Evo was designed in cooperation with the SRAM-Nicolai Team riders specifically for use on hard and fast World Cup courses. The enclosed and protected G-Boxx shifting is not susceptible to damage or dirt. The Evo is well balanced due to the weight being low and central - the effect of this is an easy to handle frame. The pivot location separates the dual influences of drive and suspension. Due to the light weight frame construction the Evo’s use is recommended for racing only - this frame is not designed as a Freeride frame.

The biggest advantage of the Nucleon TFR as an enduro frame is the protected G-Boxx shifting in impassable, rough terrain and in bad weather. The overall range of gears of the G-Boxx is equivalent to a 27 gear derailleur setup but avoids the derailleur’s susceptibility to damage from rocks and roots. The wide, rigid, swingarm with 167 mm of rear travel, as well as compatibility for forks of up to 170 mm, means that the TFR is good for hardcore usage in any kind of terrain.

ION ST Worldcup Downhill

The Ion ST is the successor to the now legendary M-Pire ST. (2004 to 2007 – R.I.P.) As with it’s precursor, the Ion ST is one of the most race-orientated derailleur downhill frame within the Nicolai product range. The Ion has got a less progressive suspension than the M-Pire so the total amount of usable rear travel is enhanced. Due to it’s 4 bar design the Ion is also less susceptible to drive and brake effects than the M-Pire, and lighter weight means it is obviously easier to a accelerate. By using a 83 mm bottom bracket width and a 150 x 12 mm rear thru-axle this is a super stiff frame with plenty of clearance for your feet.

Lambda ST Downhill

The Lambda ST is a short and agile downhill frame. It is most at home in technical narrow downhill tracks like those you will find in your local race series. The 4 bar design provides good acceleration and neutral braking. The rigid box frame makes the Lambda tough enough to cope with inevitable crashes and impacts. This is one of the reasons that the Lambda is also highly capable as an Extreme Freerider.

UFO ST  Local DH | X-Freeride | Freeride


The Ufo ST is a tough and versatile single pivot frame with 195 mm of rear travel and the ability to run 170 to 200 mm travel forks. It is well suited to be anything from a freeride hucker to an ambitious downhill racer. By mounting the optional derailleur tower the Ufo can even be used for trail riding. Though a front derailleur reduces the rear travel a little, by combining a 24 – 36 front chainring setup, with a shift guide and a SRAM front derailleur you can still get 185 mm of rear travel.

Helius ST  X-Freeride | Freeride | Local DH

The Helius ST is built tough for the loads that are imposed by extreme freeride use. The frame provides 200 mm of rear travel and a fortified tube set to provide an adequate safety margin. The geometry works best when used with forks of 170 to 200 mm travel. Optionally the frame can be equipped with a removable front derailleur tower to allow a greater range of potential uses. Running a front derailleur limits the rear travel to 180 mm.

Helius FR  Freeride | Enduro | Tour

As an enduro bike, the Helius FR covers a wide range of uses from all day epics to bike parks. The frame provides clearance for high volume tyres and allows the use of 200 mm disc brakes. With 167 mm of rear travel and compatibility with all current 170 mm forks, the Helius FR is perfect for fast downhills and jumps in rough terrain. Thanks to the efficient 4-bar linkage, however, it is still a highly capable climber as well.

The Helius CC is a lightweight all-mountain frame with medium travel that pedals efficiently and is quick to accelerate. The Helius CC is perfect for all day rides in the most testing terrain – from the French Alps to the English Lakes this frame will handle it all. The comfortable riding position allows long rides with minimal exhaustion. 129 mm of rear travel combined with compatibility for 120mm to 140mm all-mountain forks provides a good compromise between comfort and suitability for racing.

Helius CC Travel All Mountain | Marathon | Tour | XC Race


The Helius Travel is fitted with a folding mechanism that allows it to fold away in its own special carry bag within a matter of minutes. This means it is easier to carry on public transport, on narrow escalators, and in cargo bays. Once you arrive at your destination the Helius Travel can easily be reassembled and the pack becomes a rucksack. Technically the frame is identical to the Helius CC but due to the folding action it must be run with a Rohloff ® hub only.

The Ufo DS was designed as a full suspension frame for Dual and 4-X racing. The steeper and rougher the race track is and the bigger the jumps are, the more the Ufo DS scores when compared to a hardtail. The stiff and short rear travel gives fast starts without wasting power and allows the rider to compress into a jump without sagging. The Ufo DS is optimised for forks with 100 to 120 mm of travel.

The BMXTB is an all-purpose dual and dirt hardtail. Where the FMXTB is specialised for Dirt and Street and the BMXTB Race is for racing only, the BMXTB covers the entire range. In the standard version, the BMXTB is designed for use with a derailleur and a triple chainring setup. It can also be supplied with sliding single speed dropouts. As befits the intended uses of this frame it is suitable for a wide range of forks from 100 to 140 mm travel. On request the BMXTB is available with special trials geometry.

BMXTB Race World cup 4X Race | Dual Race

The BMXTB race is designed as a competition and training frame for dual and 4-X racing. In comparison to the standard version we have shaved half a kilo from the frame weight by using an Easton ® FS tube set, a tempered steerer and a lightweight CNC’d dropouts. For the BMXTB Race a light fork with 90 to 120 mm travel is best. Due to its lightweight construction this frame is not warranted for dirt or street use.

FMXTB Street | Dirt | Skate park

The FMXTB has been developed with cooperation from Joscha Forstreuter specifically for dirt and street riding. Compared to the BMXTB the FMXTB has a lower top tube to provide more clearance for tricks like the NFCC or tail-whip. The bottom bracket is also lowered in order to provide a better defined take-off. It is designed to be used with short dirt forks with 80 to 100 mm travel and has a steeper head angle for sharp and agile handling. The short wheel base facilitates the frames rotation - good for flips and 360s.

The 2MXTB, with its extra strong tubing, is designed as a hardtail for extreme freeride and downhill use. This is not your typical dirt or street frame! The geometry is designed around long travel forks with 150 to 200 mm of travel. We think it works best with 180 mm single crown forks. The 2MXTB comes with an ISCG chain guide adapter and a reinforced 1.5 headtube as standard. The rear can take up to 3” tires on 26” or 24” rims.

Ro20 | Ro24 BMX Race

The Ro20 (20“) and the Ro24 (cruiser) are thoroughbred BMX race frames. The front frame is made of Easton FS and Ultralight tubing, and is combined with a ‘hollow-weld’ rear that allows us to build and exceptionally rigid and light frame. It is this that allows the Ro to track accurately in hard turns and facilitates fast starts or sprints without energy sapping flex. Additionally it also provides security and a high margin of strength for the big jumps at world-championship and super-cross level.

UFO NICOLAI BMX team rider Yvan Lapraz won the Junior Worldchampion title 2007 in Canada on Ro20.

The Saturn TCC is a full suspension frame for cross country and marathon racing, normally the range of uses for hardtail frames. The difference here is the Saturn’s 83 mm of rear travel that enhances comfort and safety and allows you to ride for longer as well as faster on the downhills. Through the use of light weight Eston Ultralight tubing, VCS light stays, and hollow-weld CNC’d parts, the Saturn carries only a tiny weight penalty of 500 g when compared to a hardtail.

The Nonius is a well-balanced all-rounder designed around forks with 100 to 140 mm of travel. It is just as capable on your local singletrack as it is for day long rides in the back country. A reinforcement rod isolates the lightweight Easton FS down-tube against the shock loads and leads to a lighter and yet more solid construction. As it is a single pivot frame the Nonius requires less maintenance than multi link frames like the Helius CC. The Nonius’ simple engineering means we can produce this bike at a favourable price whilst you still get the workmanship and reliability that Nicolai is renowned for.

The Argon FR is an Enduro Hardtail built tough to withstand anything you can throw it at. This frame was developed for all day trail riding in challenging terrain, but leans firmly towards the fun end of the spectrum. An upright and comfortable riding position provides good control and the geometry is suited to forks with 120 to 150 mm travel. The sloping top tube provides masses of standover and there is enough tyre clearance for all the popular high volume tyres. Various dropouts are available that allow the use of a rear derailleur, a Rohloff ®, or even a single speed hub without chain tensioner.

The Argon CC is a classic cross country hardtail for forks with 80 to 100 mm of travel. The Argon’s Easton® Ultralight tube set makes for a stiff and light frame. Extensive use of our Hollow Weld technology keeps the weight down even further. These are two-part machined shells that are welded down the neutral axis to create an unbelievably stiff, yet very light, yoke. 做山地的牌子做公路……1点6KG的重量不是那么让人满意 外型有山地的影子~

The Argon Road is a very special road racing frame. Due to its high stiffness the Argon Road is especially suitable for time trials, Alpine stages and similar criteria. In a comparison test with 11 top road frames from some of our competitors, the German EFBe Institute certified the Argon Road had a torsional rigidity of 10,1 N/mm and a longitudinal rigidity of 156,3 N/mm. No other frame tested was as rigid. On long stages or extended training rides a less rigid wheel set would increase the riding comfort.

NICOLAI的架子比较趋向德国工业化 样子比较刚硬派 不像现在趋势下的大部分山地 多流线型 比较不容易接受

重量也比较重 比较注重强度。

不过大家可以看一下NI记架子的焊道 光凭这一点你就会知道它为什么那么贵了~
